F-14 TOMCAT
The F-14 Tomcat is a two-seat supersonic, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft with twin-engines. It was intended to outperform aerial threats to carrier battle groups, but it’s also used for ground attacks and tactical air reconnaissance. The F-14’s armament includes the AIM-54 Phoenix, AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-7 Sparrow, and 20 mm M61 Vulcan cannon.
The F-14 Tomcat was manufactured by Grumman and was introduced in 1974. Its ceiling is above 53,000 feet and its maximum speed is Mach 1.88. Variants include the F-14A, F-14B, and F-14D.
