FMTV
The Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) is a series of trucks powered by diesel engines that can carry 2.5 to 5 tons of material. They are utilized in a wide variety of missions, like cargo transport, vehicle recovery, construction, and civil disaster relief. The FMTV can also be used as a platform for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and as a support vehicle for the Patriot missile.
The FMTV is manufactured by BAE Systems and the series entered service in 1996. The FMTV A1 variant boasts an EPA-approved engine as well as an improved engine, electronic data bus, and ABS system.
